The phrase "Clean Living" stems from something my father used to say when things went right. I first remember hearing it in front of Vincent's Restaurant in the summer of 1960 to partake in the Feast of St. Gennaro. (Yes, like the feast in Godfather Part II.) As we approached Vincent's there was an empty parking space right in front of the restaurant. Dad swung our '57 Buick into the space, and turned to my mother, sister and me and said: "Now that's Clean Living".
This book takes the reader on a story of life and love. From Long Island in the 1950s, to growing up in New Jersey in the '60s, and college in the '70s. You'll read stories from Kenya, Ethiopia, Malawi, and India, and stateside travels and work. You'll get to know my family and friends, and my successes and shortcomings. You'll see pictures, many pictures. I'm sure you've all had wonderful memories of your own. These are mine. I could not have been luckier. Now that's Clean Living.
